The University of Medicine and Health Sciences takes pride in being one of the top-tier Caribbean medical schools with very high accreditation standards. Our students are qualified to sit for US and Canadian medical licensing exams, and gain residency and licensure throughout both countries.
Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà has ACCM accreditation, NCFMEA recognition, and multiple U.S. state approvals.
All United States citizens and permanent residents are required to submit their MCAT scores as part of their application.
The MCAT is recommended, but not required, for Canadian citizens and other international applicants. However, if you have taken the MCAT, all attempts are required to be reported.
There is no minimum MCAT score requirement. At Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ, no single factor determines an admissions decision. When assessing individual candidates, we carefully review several factors including, but not limited to:

Similar to US and Canadian medical schools, a premed or health-related baccalaureate BS degree is not required for admission into Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ.
By the time you apply, you are expected to have completed a minimum of three years of study (90 semester credits) at an accredited college or university. However, it is highly recommended that you earn a bachelor’s degree before matriculating.
To apply, you must have successfully completed the following undergraduate courses:

Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà graduates can obtain residencies in most states in the US, with the exception of NY (until the school receives full NY approval). They can obtain residencies throughout Canada and in Puerto Rico. After completing a residency, Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà graduates can become licensed anywhere in the US, Canada or Puerto Rico.
Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà has contracted with Kaplan, a renowned test preparation service, to assist our student's success in studying and passing the USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 board examinations. This prep service is a resource included in the tuition and fees for our students.
The Accelerated Review Program (ARP) is designed for students who have the drive to become successful physicians, but who need additional academic and study skills support to ensure their success in medical school. This one-semester program provides a tailored curriculum designed to prepare students for medical school from day one and quickly build a strong foundation for academic and professional success. ARP students may choose to attend classes online or in-person on the St. Kitts campus. Students who have successfully completed ARP will qualify for an ARP Scholarship award.
Students who successfully complete ARP tend to become some of the strongest medical students at Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ.
All are welcome to explore our beautiful St. Kitts campus from the comfort of your home via our . We have partnered with a team to develop a fully immersive, 360 walk-through of our campus. Move from classroom to classroom, watch lectures come to life, and get as close to the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà student experience as possible, without traveling to St. Kitts.
However, the best way to get a feel for Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà is to see it for yourself in person by making an appointment for a campus visit. Prospective medical students have the opportunity to explore our state-of-the-art facilities, meet with key faculty members and administrators, and even sit in on some classes. Feel free to bring your family so they can also gain a sense of your future home away from home!
If you are accepted to Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ, a $500 tuition credit per person (max 2 people) will be applied to your second-semester tuition. (You can receive up to $1000 tuition credit for taking the tour)
